May 27th, 2009 Pillow Talk Live: It’s All Great with Great Expectations

Now, You couldn’t describe me as terribly comfortable being bored with most men (who isn’t?) and be 100% truthful. However, I’m not uncomfortable about it, either. I only suggest it here as an intriguing detail setting up the story I am prepared to unravel!

This time last week I met for coffee with Corey, considering signing up for Great Expectations Dallas. You prolly couldn’t guess that, I write to the blogosphere as a surprisingly pleased member of the matchmaking service. Seriously, it’s true. It’s great! If you have read my old blog, perhaps you’re thinkin’, “You totally owe me an explanation.”

Here’s how it went down, I looked at these Great Expectations Reviews and liked what I saw. They’re for quality and professional singles who know dating should have a point.

‘Cause I’d never been too big on this silly social phenomenon my friends and my family have christened “The Dating Experience.” I got it all the time. Day and night they pester, “You’re still single? ” and “Just get out there and date him!”

“Baloney!” I banter right back, and playfully so. “Take a look around, I’m not missing much.”

“Whatever doofus,” they reply. “You haven’t dated in a year, you wouldn’t know!”

Thankfully, that’s my best friend (on a good day) hah! Sandy Holland. She pours the best ideas to my brain to set me straight. Loved ones never fail to offer perspective. No countering that, and I thank her for it.

Back to the meaning of this post. As I browsed from more than three hundred outfits (hah) and desirable, honest singles for my first Great Expectations date, something occurred to me that was quite real. Over the last year, I hadn’t held the greatest of figurative great expectations for dating in the fun-filled journey of being alive. It’s good to be single, even more so if you take the opportunity to meet new people. Having great expectations works terrifically in dating.
